If your footage doesn’t look as great on your screen as it did in your camera, it’s time to do some color correction. This isn’t the same as color grading, which is the process by which you achieve a specific look for your final project; instead, it’s a way to adjust your exposure, color balance, tint, saturation, and other elements of your footage, much as you would when working with a photograph in Photoshop.
